Based in the heart of Victoria, Central Dietetics provides practical nutrition and dietary advice for you, your family and your loved ones. We see people of all ages with a range of issues.  We will work with you towards your own nutrition goals, respecting your individual home and family situations, and finding solutions that suit you.

The clinics are in Bendigo and Heathcote, and we also provide a service to the local community in Kyneton, Castlemaine, Kilmore, Elmore and surrounds. We may be able to come to your home (travel fees apply). 

Telehealth can be an easy and effective way to connect from the comfort of your own home.

Jo is an experienced dietitian who has worked for over thirty years supporting people in the community with a range of nutrition concerns. Jo enjoys supporting people across the lifespan, from babies to adults to older people, including working with people with disabilities.

The service is available for Self-Managed and Plan-Managed NDIS Plans with funding in Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing. Fees as per NDIS pricing arrangements per hour. 
  • Direct consultation, face to face or telehealth. 
  • NDIS plan progress reports and funding requests
  • Travel for home visits
  • Short notice cancellations (less than two business days) charged at 100% 
  • Non face to face includes: meal planning, diet analysis, documentation, product research, registration and intake processes, communication with care team and medical professionals (by consent). 
An invoice will be emailed to you or your Plan Manager after the session. Payments are expected within 14 days.
Medicare provides rebates for Dietetics under a GP Chronic Disease Management Care Plan. 
Medicare Rebate - $63.40 per session
Gap fees apply. 
Up to 5 sessions in a calendar year.
  • Initial Assessment (1 hour) - $190
  • Review (45 min) - $142.50
  • Review (30 mins) - $95
Time includes a few minutes for completion of medical records and providing feedback to the referring doctor as needed. 
Payments are expected on the day of the appointment. 
We are unable to process Medicare rebates for children on the day, parents will be provided with a receipt to claim the Medicare rebate online or at a Medicare office. 

Medicare rebates are also available for eating disorders under an GP Eating Disorder Care Plan, and for complex neurodevelopmental disorders (such as autism) under a Paediatrician Care Plan. 
Costs:
  • Initial consultation (60 mins) - $190
  • Review consultation (45 min) - $142.50
  • Standard consultation (30 mins) - $95
Time includes a few minutes for completion of medical records.
Payment is expected on the day of the appointment. 
Some private health covers have rebates for a portion of dietitian consultations. Speak to your insurer for more information.

Full payment is expected on the day of the appointment. You will be provided with a receipt to take to your private insurance provider. 

You may be able to pay for Dietitian services from your Support At Home funding. Ask your provider for more information.
Fees are at private rates. 
Home visits are available in the Central Victoria region, by negotiation. Travel fees are at the same hourly rate and are measured from the dietitian's normal place of work. 
The Dietitian will provide written feedback to your case manager and maintain communication as needed.
